You do not need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what is wrong before asking for help.
If you are experiencing anxiety, panic, low mood, emotional changes, irritability, stress, overwhelm, poor sleep or simply do not feel like yourself, we provide a confidential clinical consultation to understand what is happening and what may help.
Our approach goes beyond medication alone. We consider your mental health, medicines, physical health, hormones, ADHD, sleep, lifestyle and current life pressures to help identify the most appropriate next step for you.
Anxiety, low mood and emotional overwhelm can affect work, relationships, family life, sleep and your ability to cope day to day. Sometimes there is an obvious reason; sometimes there is not.
Sometimes symptoms need a more detailed clinical assessment to understand what is happening before deciding on treatment.
If your needs fall outside our service, we will explain this clearly and signpost or refer you to the most appropriate healthcare or support service.
Medication can be helpful for some people, but it should not be considered in isolation.
Whether you are considering treatment for the first time or already taking medication, we look at how you are feeling, what you are taking, whether it is helping and whether anything else may be contributing to your symptoms.
If your medication is no longer helping as expected, is causing unwanted effects or you are taking several medicines, we can review your treatment in more detail.
Sometimes you are not depressed — you are simply exhausted, overwhelmed or struggling to manage everything happening around you.
Work, caring responsibilities, relationships, family pressures, poor sleep, hormonal changes and undiagnosed health conditions can all affect emotional wellbeing.
Poor sleep can make anxiety, low mood, stress, concentration and emotional regulation much harder to manage.
You may have been told you are anxious, stressed or depressed but still feel there is more going on.
Symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, low mood, anxiety, poor sleep and overwhelm can sometimes overlap with perimenopause or menopause, ADHD, thyroid problems, nutritional deficiencies, metabolic health, medicines and other health conditions.
We can help you look at the wider clinical picture and decide whether further assessment or investigation may be appropriate.
Not every mental-health concern should be managed within one service. If we feel you would benefit from your GP, psychological therapy, counselling, specialist mental-health services or another healthcare professional, we will explain the options and provide appropriate signposting or referral guidance.
You should leave your consultation knowing what the next step is, even when that next step is not treatment through Medline.
